ACCOMMODATION
ON-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
Students have the option of applying to live in the university dormitory which can provide on-campus accommodation for about 1,000 students in two buildings. Due to the increasing number of students every year, the dormitory gives some priority to students who are from minority groups and low-income families. The dormitory generally provides shared rooms, academic tutorials, laundry facilities, and common social and recreation spaces.
OFF-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
Off-campus accommodation is often not far from the campus. One advantage is that students can walk or ride a bike to the University. It allows students to live within the local community in a house or apartment that suits their budget. Students can live with friends from the same hometown and cook meals to their own tastes. In addition, they can have meals of good price for students near their residence. There are decently priced meals near the university if students do not want to cook, and also several forms of entertainment for students in their leisure time around the campus. Off-campus accommodation and its activities form a typically cultural community of UDL students.
